A Letter to Our Readers

Dear Readers,

I have not written since July and so I wanted to write and say, Thank you!

Thank you for praying for my family through the darkest days of my life.

Thank you for your willingness to follow this story, and to watch God’s grace and truth meet a broken family with his peace.

Thank you for the ways you have entered the lives of those close to you because God used this story in your daily life.

Thank you for not running away from the suffering.

In my thankfulness, I am joyful at the story God continues to write. Last month, I celebrated another birthday, another year of life and faith and friendship. My days are more full of joy and laughter and busyness than I ever imagined. And the kids are doing great! They have joy to share every day; we laugh in unison as we move through the changes that time brings.

Some changes are uncomfortable and some are so shocking that they almost can’t be believed. One of those beautifully shocking changes is that back in June, I met an incredible woman—a woman who is now going to become my wife this weekend, a woman who was not scared of my story, a woman who can laugh and cry, and who fits better than I could have dreamed.

The kids and I are grateful and excited to enter the next stage of life with this wonderful woman in our life.

As my life is entering a new season, I am eager to watch the community that has developed here. I am glad for Blythe’s devotion and heart to carry on Kara’s wish of leading this place of grace. Thank you, Blythe, for your care and commitment to meeting the hearts of those in this sacred place. And thank you, readers, for your dedication to this community of grace seekers.

May God bless you and keep you as you continue pursuing his grace and learning to be faithful in the mundane.
